This piece gives an outlook of the future of our generation as two children are looking into the future. Rather than having a bright future with a flourishing environment, due to the damages that were done to the environment, their vision of the future is overtaken with trash from the sustainability problems that humans have caused. In order to fill the future of these children with a better and more sustainable environment, we need to make an effort to have an eye on the sustainable decisions we make. To do so, our first step is to be more conscious of our trash production. The hand in the painting represents our generation seeking to reduce trash waste as it is removing the trash out of the path of the children’s future. By doing so, these children will be able to have a brighter future with a more healthy and flourishing environment, shown on the top of the painting where the road leads to.
